To all the unselfish mommy's out there, who traded sleep for dark circles, posh makeup for no makeup, couture clothes for baggy clothes, salon haircuts for a ponytail, long showers for quick ones, late nights for early mornings, and designer bags for nappy bags and who wouldn't change a thing. Let's see how many mums post this, who don't care what they gave up, and instead, LOVE what they got in return.... ... Post if you LOVE being a MOM !
Now I disagree with the above completely - YES I have traded lots in when I became a mom and yes I DO LOVE what I got in return - but that is no excuse to not take care of yourself anymore. We will tackle each and every statement of the above as time goes on one at a time! Besides, I will NEVER give up my designer handbags or shoes!
The one thing I have not traded is my morning & evening beauty regime. I promise it takes less time than brushing your teeth does!
So here are the products I use:
Cleanser: Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Splash Away
Toner: Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean
Serum: Advanced Night Repair
Moisturiser: Estee Lauder Daywear plus
Night Cream: Dermastine
Eye Cream: Matis eye mask
Masks: Clarins Doux Peeling & Guinot Nouvel Eclat
I have pretty good skin and that's because I take care of it. I am not a heavy makeup kinda girl so I need to have good skin.
Every morning: Cleanse, Tone, Advanced Night Repair, Moisturiser
Every evening: Cleanse twice, Tone, Advanced Night Repair, Eye cream, Night Cream
Twice a month: Masks & exfoliate
Yes, I have to do the above every single day, no exceptions! And Yes I do use Advanced Night repair both am & pm.
I don't believe in having a facial once a month and then hoping your skin remains beautiful for the rest of the month.
I mean - you dont feed your tummy once a month and expect to be full the whole time do you?
Well I think you get the picture...
I am not saying that you need to use these specific products or any other expensive products to have beautiful skin. You need to find a product that works for YOUR skin and there are hundreds of inexpensive items out there that are fabulous! I have experimented with different products since my very early 20's and these have proven to be products that agree with MY skin.
One very basic rule - Don't ever sleep with makeup - not ever! I will wash my face no matter what time of the night/early morning I get home....although those days are long gone now...traded in for motherhood remember ;-)
Thank you for reading and & remember I love hearing from you.
Till next time
